Ceilings and Partitions Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

People often ask, "Can I have a Safe Work Method Statement for Ceilings?" "A document that covers everything?"  The answer is not really.

A Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) needs to document step by step how you are going to do a particular job. Not all jobs are the same! For starters how are you going to access the work area for a ceiling? Are you going to access  via a Mobile Scaffold or a scissor lift? Are you going to install a exposed grid ceiling or flush jointed plasterboard? The steps and hazards are different for the different jobs, so your SWMS should reflect this.

The JSEAsy software comes preloaded with hundreds of template (job steps) to build your site specific SWMS with. It also includes Safe Operating Procedures (SOP). The JSEAsy Premium version is your total WHS management system.

Download an example of a SWMS generated from the JSEAsy software.

The JSEAsy software comes preloaded with hundreds of templates (job steps).

Below is an example of templates you may insert into your site specific SWMS for typical commercial roof project:

  2. Claim Work Area
  3. Acceptance of delivery to site for materials
  4. Erection and use of mobile scaffold
  5. Set up and use laser level

  8. Manufacture Steel  Stud Wall Frames
  9. Installation of plasterboard linings
