Healthy and Safe Workplace

One of the major concerns in Australian workplaces is employees' mental health conditions. Long periods away from work and the costs associated with this problem.

Every year in Australia, 7.200 employees are compensated for work-related mental health conditions, and $543 million paid in worker's compensation.

JSEAsy believes in a healthy and safe workplace
Fatigue is mental and/or physical exhaustion

Fatigue

Fatigue is mental and/or physical exhaustion that reduces your ability to perform your work safely and effectively. Fatigue in the workplace impacts workers’ mental and physical health. Also impacts the health and safety of those around them.

Performance and productivity, and increased potential for errors of judgment and injuries to occur. Many studies show that regular exercise increases energy and reduces fatigue.

Depression

Studies show that exercise can treat mild to moderate depression as effectively as traditional antidepressant medication.

Exercise helps so much to fight depression, it promotes a lot of changes in the brain, including neural growth, reduced inflammation, and new activity patterns that promote feelings of calm and wellbeing. It also releases endorphins, chemicals in the brain that energize your spirits and make you feel good.

Finally, exercise can also serve as a distraction, allowing you to find some quiet time to break out of the cycle of negative thoughts that feed depression.
Mental health is a priority
exercise can help to manage stress

Stress

Ever noticed how your body feels when you’re under stress? Your muscles may be tense, especially in your face, neck, and shoulders, leaving you with back or neck pain, or painful headaches.

You may also feel insomnia, heartburn, stomachache, diarrhea, or frequent urination.

The worry and discomfort of all these physical symptoms can in turn lead to even more stress, creating a vicious cycle between your mind and body.

Exercising helps you with these symptoms. Physical activity helps to relax the muscles and relieve tension in the body.

It is important to remember that our most important assets are our employees. JSEAsy encourages our employees to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

Studies show that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness, and the experts suggest at least 10 minutes of exercise every day.
