How to change or replace JSEAsy program file to a 64-bit version

When you install the JSEAsy safety management software for the first time or after upgrading your version of Microsoft Office you may need to also upgrade your JSEAsy program file to a 64-bit version.

For a new installation just download the JSEAsy Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Software from the link in your purchase confirmation email. install as per normal. See here for the installation steps
After you have run the JSEAsy safety management software installation file JSEAsy_Premium_setup.exe or JSEAsy_setup.exe.

There will be a folder on your Local Disk (C:) named JSEAsy. This will contain several files.
SWMS, JSA, JSEAGo to the folder named JSEAsy in your local disk C
Replace the file jseasy.accdr with the new file

Copy and Replace

You just need to replace the file - JSEAsy.accdr with the new file, which it has the same name

Update/ Enter Licence PAK

When you first purchase a licence for the JSEAsy software you will be required to enter in the details below to register and unlock the software.

You will need to enter the details for all three fields exactly as shown in the confirmation (and tax invoice) email to register/ unlock the software. It’s a good idea to copy (Ctrl+c) and Paste (Ctrl+v) the details

Expiry Date:




If you are renewing your JSEAsy rental subscription, you will not need to download or install anything. You will just need to update the Expiry date and Product Authorisation Key (PAK) number.


Select Update defaults from the Main Options window of the JSEAsy Safety Software

Defaults Update

Click on this command button on the Main Options form to update the Industry Type and Industry Specific defaults (defaults are used throughout JSEAsy to automatically select items; however you may also change them at each instance. Select your Industry Type first then your Industry Specific (trade). If your Industry Type or Industry Specific is not listed, then click on “Update Industry Type/Specific to add them. State was entered at License Registration, but you may change it here


If you start with Construction as an industry type, then all of the duties, qualifications and licencing and training requirements associated with tat industry will be available to select from later.

If you add a new Industry type or Industry specific, you will be starting with blank related tables, that you will need to build as you go.


This default information will be used for Automatic insertion in to various policies, procedures, Safety Forms and SWMS

Enter in your default details

  1. Business Address: This is your principal place of business or registered office. This address will be used for many of the WHS forms and Policies in the Premium Version
  2. Business Registration Number:  This may be your company number or in Australia your Australian Business Number (ABN)
  3. Business Licence Number: If your business requires a trade or industry licence to operate, insert the number here.
  4. Business Phone: The primary contact number for your business
  5. Business Fax: The advertised fax number for your business (If you have one)
  6. Business Email Address: the generic or advertised email address for your business
  7. Manager Name: The name of the Manager for the business
  8. Title: The job title of the manager eg. Director or General Manager
  9. Manager Phone: The contact number for the manager
  10. WHS/ OHS managers name
  11. WHS/ OHS Representatives name (If you don't have an employee elected WHS Representative, this could also be the WHS manager)
  12. Works Supervisor's name (The person responsible for supervising the workers)
  13. Workplace Health Safety and Environmental Coordinators name:
  14. Injury Management Coordinator's name: 
  15. Quality Assurance (QA)  Manager's name:
  16. Industry Type: The type of industry you operate in
  17. Industry Specific: Your industry specific business or trade
  18. Country: Your default country of operation. (May be changed if you are working internationally)
  19. State or Region: Your default state or region of operation. (May be changed if you are working across borders)
  20. Report title: This is linked to your selected region at installation but may be changed
  21. Acronym: The acronym used in your region
  22. List insurances held by your organisation (This will be used to prompt for expiry dates and automatic insertion into site management plans in the Premium versions)
  23. Select if you want JSEAsy to check for expired licences and insurances at startup
 Note: If you are adding a new Country or State/ Province, you will need to go to regulator Info Update and also fill in the defaults for the region
