EWP – Emergency Response Procedure

WHS- Form 41 – EWP Emergency response procedure.  This is a rescue and retrieval plan if someone is stranded in an elevated work platform.

You must have a rescue plan in place before any work commences heights or any work situation where immediate or unrestricted access is not available to remove an injured person should an accident occur.

Workers are often required to perform their duties while working in an elevated position using a scissor lift or boom lift. There is always the possibility an operator may become injured whilst working at heights or the machine could fail to function properly, requiring a rescue retrieval plan to be executed.
